Candid & Cinematic

My style is all about capturing authentic moments in a cinematic way. I don't stage shots but rather capture real-time interactions that evoke emotions. I want to create images that make your heart race and capture the genuine connection between you and your loved ones. During our shoot, I'll prompt you with questions and actions to make you feel relaxed and comfortable, and we'll capture moments that take your breath away. If you're looking for perfectly posed photos, we may not be the best fit, but if you want something raw and authentic, let's create some magic together.

My priority isn't just taking pictures, it's forming a connection. Let's be friends and create a story together. I want you to have a great experience, not just a session. I value genuine moments and some of my best work is reflected in couples and families I consider friends. Don't worry if you're camera-shy, I'll be your hype squad, friend, and paparazzi to capture the best moments.

I don't stick to one style or mood, rather, I embrace and adapt to each couple's individuality, location, and preferences. How long have you been a photographer & videographer?

Professionally, 8 years but I have been doing photography and video my whole life — since I could hold a camera.

How many images come in a session?

Different packages come with different delivered image amounts, but I promise I won’t withhold any images from you. These are your moments to remember during this time in your life.

What is your turnaround time?

Smaller sessions like minis take 1-2 weeks, family sessions or friend sessions about 2 weeks - engagements I like to spend 4-6 weeks and weddings I give myself 90 days depending on my bandwidth. I try to get them back as soon as possible while making sure I can spend careful and sincere time editing your photos.

Where are you based out of? Do you travel?

I’m based out of Salt Lake City, UT. I travel out of town and out of state here and there, even have done some sessions in Michigan. I’ve done videography and destination wedding photography services in Cancun Mexico. Utah is playground for me and no distance really phases me from wanting to get creative. I have a ton of ideas and places on where to shoot.

Do you give away unedited photos?

I don’t give away anything unedited, because there’s a post process that is really important to me in creating magic for you. I won’t withhold images and if you feel like I missed an image, just ask, I can recheck my archive (mistakes can happen). I won’t let you walk away without the shots you love.

Can you photoshop my body?

I don’t prefer to alter anything beyond basic blemishes, acne, scratches, etc. There have been cases where I will photoshop out sticks at a park or a person’s head in the background that is a simple fix, but anything beyond such as editing out a tree or a fence is an additional charge. Feel free to let me know about any insecurities, and I can work with you about that during your session.

What do we wear for photos?

I want you to feel comfortable and beautiful during your session. Based on the location we have set together and the weather, I can help put together outfit ideas for your coming shoot. Typical rules of thumb are to avoid patterns, stripes, or busy textures.

How does payment work?

For any session I require a 50% deposit, if this is something that is financially difficult for you, I can put together a payment plan. I use a secure payment system via Honeybook or accept Venmo/cash. For small sessions I need full payment before the final delivery of images, for weddings, I need full payment 2 weeks before the wedding date. I want to help make my sessions affordable for you and put together a payment plan that is stress-free, I’m happy to work with your schedule.

What if there’s bad weather?

We can either reschedule or we can embrace the weather that arrives and make the most of it. I don’t want the weather to ruin your clothes, your experience, or my gear.

Do you help with any planning?

Yes! I’m happy to help you work with vendors, give any recommendations, and help make the process easy for you whether you getting photos for your wedding, a birthday, or any special day. I’m the kind of person who wants to text about what your wedding dress looks like and help you find the perfect shoes for it.

How do travel fees work?

Anything within the Salt Lake Valley I do not charge for travel fees and anything I package to you should include travel fees (I’m still ironing this out). But I don’t want you to worry about extra, unexpected costs.

What do you shoot?

I shoot couples, engagements, proposals, weddings, families, friends, birthdays, grad photos, pictures/videos for other vendors, you name it. I do specialize mainly in couples though.
