EVERYTHING YOU WANT TO KNOW

Your wedding photographer questions, answered.

And a few things you didn't know to ask.

Common wedding photographer questions about photo and film, travel, booking timelines, pricing, and what to expect on your wedding day.

  • Yes — always. Photo and film are one team with one creative vision. Your gallery and your film share the same light, the same moments, and the same story. No competing angles, no missed shots, nothing lost between two separate vendors

  • Most couples book 10–16 months out, especially for peak season dates (May–October) and destination weddings. Last-minute availability does occasionally open up — if your date is coming up, it's always worth reaching out.

  • Constantly. Destination weddings are a huge part of what we do — West Coast, Gulf Coast, Italy, Iceland, and everywhere in between. West Coast travel is typically built into our pricing. For domestic and international destinations, we'll put together a custom quote that includes travel with no surprises.

  • You won't be — and even if you are, it won't show. We give just enough direction that you forget you're being documented. The best wedding photos happen when nobody's performing.

  • You'll receive a highlight gallery within 1 week. Fully edited galleries are delivered within 6–8 weeks. Wedding films are typically delivered within 8–12 weeks. We'll always keep you posted on timing.

  • Yes — and we love them. An engagement session is one of the best ways to get comfortable in front of the camera before your wedding day. Many of our collections include one, and they're always available as an add-on.

  • Every collection is a starting point. We build from there based on your timeline, priorities, and vision. The most common customizations are additional coverage hours, extra film deliverables, and engagement sessions.

  • We've never missed a wedding. We carry backup equipment for every piece of gear we bring, and in the event of a true emergency, we have a trusted network of photographers and filmmakers who share our aesthetic and standards.

  • A signed contract and 30% retainer holds your date. The remaining balance is split into scheduled payments leading up to your wedding — no lump sums, no surprises.

  • We arrive early, stay late, and handle everything in between. You won't need to manage us — we know how to read a room, work with vendors, and adapt to anything. The only thing you need to do is be present.
